The 105th anniversary of Poland’s independence
After years of effort and struggle by many patriots, Poland returned to the map of Europe as a sovereign state. The struggle for independence was strongly embedded in the daily lives of those who worked hard, studied, cared for the development of the economy and social life, often being harassed, arrested and persecuted for this reason. Efforts for independence are also marked by the toil and work of Poles in exile, who so assiduously cultivated Polishness by developing political thought or Polish culture. On this occasion, on November 10, 2023, a solemn presentation was held at the Warsaw Montessori School, and the national anthem was sung by all students of our school at 11:11 am.
Students from the EE1 class recalled the 123 years of slavery of the Polish nation and its efforts to regain independence. During the ceremony one could hear beautiful music, poems on patriotic themes as well as see the traditional Polish dance “Polonaise”.
