TPM Garoza, October 18, 2024
The third management meeting of the “Montessori Erdkinder & Farm School” project took place on 18 October 2024 at Garozas pamatskola in the village of Garoza, located in the Jelgava Municipality, Latvia. Participants were warmly welcomed by the students, who presented aspects of school life and prepared a short artistic introduction. The welcome also featured the school’s symbolic “witch,” who added a humorous and friendly touch to the atmosphere.
Following a brief school tour, partners took part in practical workshops, including gardening and bread making, which demonstrated elements of the practical work carried out with students. The main part of the meeting focused on reviewing project progress, including the announcement that the interim report had been fully approved and assessed as excellent.
Partners then discussed the organisation of student mobilities planned for 2025, including timelines, documentation requirements, and the structure of multimedia presentations to be prepared after each mobility. Details were also reviewed regarding the large joint mobility planned for late May and early June 2025 in Warsaw and Białka.
Later in the day, participants joined the “Warm sand box” workshop and took part in a short cultural programme in Jelgava, which encouraged integration and exchange of good practices. The meeting concluded with discussions about preparations for the Farm School Picnic (31 May 2025) and the “Erdkinder Montessori” conference scheduled for March 2026.
The meeting in Garoza confirmed steady and successful progress within the project and reinforced the strong cooperation between all partner institutions.
