Living Museum of Wax Figures
On June 13, 2024, our school hosted a wax figure exhibition, prepared by students of grades III – IV. The event allowed students and their parents to deepen their historical and cultural knowledge, as well as develop presentation skills. The tour began at 1:30 pm and lasted until 2:30 pm.
The exhibition took place on our school playground at Warsaw Montessori School at Szwoleżerów4 Street. Students, playing the roles of guides, talked about the history and achievements of the people presented. In addition, the school garden was decorated with props and posters, which created the right atmosphere, and the students took care to reproduce in detail the clothes and attributes characteristic of these figures.
Historical figures came to the fore. Students presented figures such as Maria Sklodowska-Curie, Albert Einstein, Lesia Ukrainka, Bruce Lee, Frida Kahlo and others.
Then we learned about modern celebrities. We found figures depicting famous athletes, musicians and actors, such as Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Jane Goodall, Danilo, Madonna, Hubert Hurkacz, Iga Swiatek, Ruth Harkness, Louis Armstrong, Serena Williams, Mata Hari and many other famous figures.
Another attraction was characters from literature and movies, as well as authors of books for children and young people. There were figures of Jason Bean, Agatha Christie, J.K. Rowling and others.
The exhibition provided us with many positive emotions. The vivid figures and their detailed descriptions impressed everyone. Students had the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents and deepen their knowledge of famous figures. Working together on the project strengthened the bonds between the students.
The Living Museum of Wax Figures was an interesting and informative experience. Thanks to this initiative, students were able to combine learning with fun, as well as develop their artistic and organizational skills. This exhibition will certainly remain in our memory as an inspiring and valuable event.
Heartfelt thanks to all the students for their commitment and creativity. We would also like to thank the parents for coming in such large numbers.
