National Independence Day -11th November
National Independence Day is a national day in Poland celebrated on 11 November to commemorate the anniversary of the restoration of Poland’s sovereignty as the Second Polish Republic in 1918.
Here at WMS we held our own celebration. Some of our students dressed as famous Poles, such as Marie Curie,Fredric Chopin, Jan Matejko, Agnieszka Radwańska, Jan Brzechwa and Janina Porazińska.
There were songs sung and poems read, and of course the Polish National Anthem. The students dress in red and white to symbolize the flag of Poland. It was a fine morning sharing a special day. We wish all of you a Joyful and Inspiring Independence Day!
