The Indian New Year Celebration
Friday, November 15, we will celebrated the Indian New Year Celebration known as Diwali! Diwali is the five-day festival of lights, celebratedby millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world. The festival, which coincides with the Hindu New Year, celebrates new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.
Warsaw Montessori School celebrates cultures and embraces people from all around the world. This is a Montessori tradition, this is our Montessori School. On Friday, the Bhagat Family joined us for an afternoon presentation of Diwali. They have generously offered delicious Indian foods for the children to enjoy. Colorful flowers and designs and clothing are all part of this happy celebration. To add to the celebration the children wore colorful clothes to school this day. Pinks, oranges, bright yellows, greens and blues are all worn. Girls also wear their Bollywood dresses. Our Teachers were finely dressed in Saris.
A big thank you to the Warsaw Montessori Families, the Bhagats and also to Deborah and Vijay. Deborah and Vijay made the beautiful Ragoli for our front entrance to the school. The children made the amazing elephants. What a wonderful Day!
